Stainless steel

USINA PHARM assists pharmaceutical, medical or chemical industries in their project to produce parts or assemblies in stainless steel.

Stainless steel better known as "inox" is a ferrous metal alloy composed of iron, carbon and chromium. For a steel to be called "stainless", it must contain a minimum of 10.5% chromium and a maximum of 1.2% carbon (EN 10088-1). Chromium gives a protective layer to the steel making it resistant to corrosion. The addition of nickel increases the stability range and facilitates processing. The addition of molybdenum improves wear and heat resistance. There are several types of stainless steel which can be classified, in particular, according to their chemical composition. Austenitic and non-magnetic steels are used in  pharmaceutical industries because they have very good resistance to corrosion and are very resistant.

With our sophisticated machine park, we machine all kind of stainless steel 304L (1.4301), 316L (1.4404), 316Ti (1.4571), Uranus, Alloy C22 (2.4602)... with precision in order to guarantee the satisfaction of our customers by meeting their specific requirements.
